I have been a Contract Floor Covering Installer for the past 33 years. During this time I worked as a Foreman leading Hand on Major Commercial Jobs, overseeing the installation of carpet and commercial vinyl products, in Hospitals and schools in Victoria. I was also in charge of the training of apprentices in both vinyl and carpet.

As a Contractor I install carpet, vinyl and timber flooring on a daily basis.  During these installations, I will be using sanding and grinding machines to level and polish floors as required. During my time in the flooring industry I have also been involved in the Sale of products to my clients as well as consulting with builders and architects and project managers.
In the past 30 years I have also employed and trained three apprentices for my own Business, all of which have gone on to be successful tradesmen.

I have been employed as a contractor by TFIA for the past Four years as Trainer and Assessor, which has broadened my trade experience and knowledge of different Techniques, as well as better understanding of the roles of employees and apprentices.
